David Lehman, M.A
David Lehman has a variety of education and life experiences. He earned an A.S., B.S. and M.S. in Criminal Justice and served with the Richland County Sheriff's Office, in Columbia, SC, where he served with the traffic division and in special operations. He also worked with the South Carolina Office of the Governor as the Chief Investigator for the Division of Victim Assistance. He then earned a Master of Divinity from Southern Seminary and served in Christian ministry for a couple of decades. He served as a youth pastor in a couple of large churches and pastored a new church plant in Las Vegas, Nevada.
After spending many years in full-time ministry, he realized he wanted to receive more training and education in counseling and, last year, graduated with High Honors from Liberty University with a M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. He completed his clinical hours at Advent Health Hospital in Hendersonville where he worked with women in the Intensive Outpatient Program and individuals in the inpatient psychiatric units.
He is competent in working with a variety of patients, including first responders and their families, those who struggle with spiritual issues, and those with severe mental health issues. He primarily utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and various aspects of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
